While FacilityDude is a young organization, the founding partners bring over 50 years of combined experience from the fields of Computerized Maintenance Management, Internet Technology and BAS (Building Automation Systems). Meet the FacilityDude.com Leadership Team:

Kent Hudson — Chairman of the Board

Kent was the Founder and CEO of Applied Computer Technologies, "ACT". ACT dominated the CMMS education market with the ACT 1000 System from the mid-1980's until the late 1990’s. After ACT was acquired by CP&L, Kent went on to be the CEO and President of Indus International, which was the largest maintenance management and enterprise asset management software company in the world. Kent saw the opportunity to revolutionize educational system operations, facility and maintenance management by using the power of the internet. Kent founded SchoolDude in 1999 and started the journey of providing educational administrators with powerful and innovated solutions to operations and facility management. In addition to his role as Chairman of FacilityDude.com, he currently serves as CEO of SchoolDude.com.

Tom Knox — President & CEO

Tom brings extensive experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), System Integration, the HVAC industry and energy conservation implementation. He also brings experience from the financial and corporate arena. His contribution is based upon his past of professional experience as President of a large BAS and HVAC service provider and as a senior executive with a deregulation arm for Progress Energy. This past along with his current role in administration and investment decisions for a private investment fund and several non-profit organizations uniquely qualify him to serve our organization. He provides vision, coordinates and oversees with management and business partners all aspects of FacilityDude.

Lynn Boswell — CTO & Board Member

Lynn brings 20-years of experience in delivering complex technology projects on time and under budget. Her expertise spans across various businesses including inventory management, purchasing, work order management, insurance, government, and non-profit organizations. Before joining SchoolDude, Lynn was Managing Director of Technology at Strategic Resource Solutions (SRS) where she was responsible managing software upgrades and changes to the CMMS and building controls product line with a twenty-two member team consisting of both developers and project managers. Prior to SRS, she served as a senior project manager and developer on the ACT 1000 with Applied Computer Technologies (ACT); and prior to ACT, she worked as a software programmer with Mitsubishi International in warehouse inventory management. Lynn currently serves as Vice President of Product Development & Delivery at SchoolDude.com.

Carsie Denning — Vice President of Client Services

Carsie pioneered the exchange of data between CMMS and BAS systems over 20 years ago when he co-founded Applied Computer Technologies. Now with the advanced capabilities of the Internet and high speed access to most schools and educational facilities across the country, it is no surprise to see Carsie working to bring that winning combination to the web.

Brian Bell — Vice President of Product Development

Brian brings extensive experience in web application design, usability and product delivery technologies. A veteran of web-native applications from hardware implementation to intuitive user interfaces. His broad knowledge of web technology is crucial to the development and implementation of the FacilityDude product line.
